You have probably heard that you can boost your immune system with food and nutrition – but what does that actually mean?
On this weekend, we’ll take a good look at your immune system, including:
- white blood cells
- lymphatic system
- barriers (e.g. skin, gut, brain)
- gut microbes
All of these play an integral role in keeping you healthy, and protecting you from illness and harm.
And there are specific foods, nutrients and ways of eating that strengthen and support all of these. Including anti-inflammatory ingredients, probiotic foods, white blood cell boosters and ways to keep your lymph flowing. We also draw on the Taoist 5 Element system, with a focus on the Metal Element that governs your large intestine, lungs, skin and ability to release and let go. The yoga/movement session on the Saturday afternoon will follow the same themes of lymphatic flow and letting go.
We’ll explain it all simply and clearly, inspire you to make gentle changes, and teach you how to make delicious immune-boosting recipes.
